Remembrance Parade Thornton Hough November 2024
Two of our Year 6 children represented our school at the Remembrance Parade on 10th November 2024 in the village, laying a wreath at the memorial. The Year 6 children spent some time on Armistice Day looking at the wreaths in more detail as well as the names on the memorial.

Premier League Everton Academy Football Tournament February 2023
Our fabulous 6-a-side football team played in the Everton Academy Premier League tournament, qualifying for the knockout stages. The team lost narrowly in the quarter-finals. It was a fun day for all and the children were great ambassadors for the school.
Remembrance Day 2022
On Sunday 13th November, two of our Year 6 children lay a wreath on behalf of all the children of Thornton Hough Primary School at the War Memorial. This followed the annual Thornton Hough Remembrance Parade. It was a very poignant moment and we were very proud of all the children taking part from school and other community groups such as Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.
Arete Residential 2022
Year 6 went on a brilliant residential visit to the Arete Centre in Llanrug in North Wales. They were able to take part in activities including Coasteering, Sea Level-Traversing, Gorge Walking, Rock Climbing, Kayaking and Bodyboarding amongst other things. It was 3 days that we will not forget!
Year 5 and 6 Tag Rugby Team
The Year 5 and 6 tag rugby team went to Birkenhead Rugby club to compete against other Wirral Primary Schools. They played brilliantly, scored lots of superb tries and finished joint winners.
Tree-Planting on the Village Green for Queen's Green Canopy 2022
105 saplings were planted by our Year 6 children on the Village Green this week. Many thanks to Thornton Hough Village Trust for inviting us!
Remembrance 2021
Unfortunately the village's Remembrance Parade was cancelled, so Evie and Max lay a wreath for our school at the war memorial the following day. We had a minute's silence and read out a remembrance poem of Evie's.
We are very proud of them.
Christmas Play 2020
The children performed wonderfully in their Christmas Production and we are very proud of them. More pictures can be seen on the class pages of the website.
Raising the Flag for Remembrance
Year 6 Cricket Finals
The Year 6 Cricket team qualified for the Wirral Cricket Finals with twon wins and a loss in their group. In the finals day at Upton Cricket Club, they came 3rd in their group. The team perfomed brilliantly, and did not loss a single wicket in their final group game.

World Mental Health Day, 10th October 2019
On Thursday 10th October our school marked World Mental Health Day. We wore yellow clothes, learnt about how we can look after our own mental health and the importance of 'just asking' for help whenever we may need it. We worked collaboratively across the school to create a piece of art to convey the message 'Just Ask'.
